CMRE – Belgium

The Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel building was designed for its core activity : to welcome and house top level Young musicians, giving them the opportunity to improve and to perform on stage under optimal conditions. An extension has been done in 2016 on the site of the Chapel through the construction of a new 2000m2 wing comprising residential and music studios, a large rehearsal and concert studio, and an ‘Artist Little Global Village’. Dewez has been commissioned to design a pendant lighting for this new building. The lamp MOON is a big flat translucent disk framed by a polished stainless steel ring. The disk and the ring can slightly move in the other.
